List down some names of all the famous people or figures in your campus that you think are interesting subjects. These people could be your schools varsity players who won the championship event, a member of your school faculty and staff with recent achievement, your campus leader, school’s president, and the debate team, a student with remarkable academic performance such as the dean’s lister, school organization members and team. After listing down all the possible people for your next subject, schedule an interview with them.

2. Events- Well, a school paper is made for the students to know the different events happening in and outside the campus. Focus on recent events that will not harm nor discourage your school’s reputation. Write down on the school’s latest accomplishment, the accomplishment of the students and the likes.Student loves to read about their schools accomplishment. So write some.

3. Gossip- Readers love to read gossip, especially students. Although gossip could be an interesting topic to read, many campus journalists finds it hard to write about it maybe it’s because some authorities of the campus writing gossip news scandalous. But, if you wish to write about gossip just make sure you get to have the most reliable source with the news.
