-  high resilience

-  high heat resistance with no loss of its mechanical properties

-  good cutting characteristics

-  can be reconditioned

Application area

-  the drill bits with a sharpened angle of 118° of multi-purpose applications are perfect for drilling in soft and medium-hard metals

-  drilling of relatively deep holes

-  accepted by all types of power drills and drill presses

Recommendations for operation

-  the drill bit hardness must be greater than that of the material to be drilled

-  the best way is to start drilling at a low speed and gradually increase it in the process

-  we recommend to cool the drill bit using oil or fluid coolant

-  use a shorter drill bit, if applicable

-  we recommend to use lower speeds for the hard materials and higher speeds – for softer materials

Notes

Recommendations for reconditioning

The process of resharpening consists in grinding off the worn-out part of the drill bit and sharpening the drill’s cutting edge. The best way for reconditioning is to use a special drill bit sharpening machine.

After the reconditioning, the drill bit must be symmetrical, smooth and free of chippings, burrs and burnings, and the proper value of cutting edge angle must be maintained.

SPIRAL TYPE DRILL BITS FOR WOOD

Specifications

-  made of carbon steel

-  milled and hardened

-  polished cutting edge

-  centering point with outer cutting edges

-  cylindrical shank

-  rust-proof coating

Advantages

-  gives precise and smooth holes

-  allows drilling with no need for preliminary centre-punching

Application area

-  for drilling in all types of timber, glued wood, fiberboards, chipboards and plywood

-  for drilling using hand drills, power drills and cordless drills/drivers

Recommendations for operation

-  a power drill must always be positioned at a right angle towards a surface and started at low speed, then you may carry on drilling at a required rotation rate

-  we recommend to take the drill bit out after every 30 mm and remove woodchips from the hole otherwise the sawdust and chips will clog the hole and cause jamming of the overheated drill bit
