For horse keepers who need to find a way of keeping their animals enclosed, there are a number of fencing options. The most common options are wire, wood and PVC fencing and each has different good and bad points. Before going into detail about the benefits of different fencing materials it is important to underline two of the biggest safety issues associated with horse fencing. First of all be sure to regularly inspect the entire length of the fencing in order to check for any weak points or damage. Second, the height of the fence should be such that it deters horses from trying to jump the fence. This means that the highest part of the fence should be roughly the horse’s nose height.
